The convenience dilemma is the state of doing something with little or no effort, even though you know that choice is not 100% in your favor long term. We all have all been in these situations. Your hungry and you have no time to prepare a healthy lunch or snack. So what do you do? You reach for the low hanging fruit, the easy to reach, or the quickest return. You move on and do not feel the effects until latter in the day or maybe your clothes start feeling a little tighter in a month or two. You shake your head not connecting the dots. You have been repeatedly short changing yourself and you have little return on your investment (ROI) as you had hoped! Ok, let's not beat ourselves up. Let's recognize it and start making steps to fix. Planning is key here so we need a "think tank pool of ideas" that you can willingly and consistently do. You ALL know what I am talking about, because you do these action items everyday for work and family. So, you need to apply the same energy and effort here. I'm not going to tell you all my ideas on what to do because that will not work. You need to sit down, with pen and paper, then strategize. Please don't bullshit your way out of this one by telling me your partner buys all the food and you have no choice. Please cry me a river (insert eye roll). Here are some questions to start those creative juices flowing: What is easy to carry?, what is healthy & convenient, what do I like when I make a better choice for myself?, how am I going to transport or store?, do I need storage containers?, where are the healthiest cafes?, how can I set up my meal planning for the week?, do I need a supply of nuts in my desk so I don't hit the vending machine? (ok, I gave you one) You get the idea. Now go take 10 minutes out and strategize for your health.
